the key

glory of kings

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. Proverbs 25:2
My favorite people in the story of Jesus' birth are the wise men. Their life's mission was to journey to find the Messiah. They were able to read the signs and recognize the significance of the moment, and they persisted faithfully to find their answer. They left their personal comfort to travel the far distance. They brought with them a sacrifice. And they obediently worshiped what they might have found to be different from their expectations. Within their testimony is the blueprint for us: recognize the significance of His presence. Persist faithfully. Leave comfort behind. Travel the distance. Sacrifice. Worship. Repeat.

the body follows the mind

This is part of what I see.
Prophesy over yourself. Strengthen yourself in the Lord.

high tea

Imagine holding a Bible study during high tea in London at the Ritz Hotel. Yes, this is really happening. And it confirms to me images born in me months ago. How do you reach the affluent? Clearly, this is one effective method. God uses the quality of these environments to display His excellence.

left behind

What must you give up in order to move ahead?
This question has been on my mind since it was asked of me. What will not take the journey with me? What cannot be sustained in the new environment? What is in my best interest to discard? My subtle thoughts on this has led me to a moment of uncovering a lot of things in my life that I cannot take with me. Control, the love of comfort, materialism top my list. Contentment and generosity are already packed and ready.  My "baggage" cannot contend with the upgrades God has fixed in me. I'm also fully aware that I cannot even afford to take with me certain physical things that I have now. Clothes, furniture, housewares. And I gladly surrender these things upon the revelation that better things, lasting things, lay ahead. Waiting for me to arrive and claim them.

consecrate yourself

It's clear to me that this holiday will be a time of consecration. I'm not frantically buying gifts and have decided to stay home in order to hear from Him. This time will be spent in the inner sanctuary. Receiving the plan. Not my agenda. I know You're ready to speak.

this is the moment

This is the reason I've stumbled upon this place. You said it would happen. You said it would be tumultuous. But as a great reward, You have given Your Spirit to these four walls and to the hearts of these people. The Great Lion has roared and declared a season of reconciliation for those who will respond. Great is this day. He humbles us because of His great love.

dissolution

It's refreshing to come to the end of your ambitions. To have the strength to set them aside for the greater reward. To be honest. To be selfless. I'm gladly resigned. I'm gladly engaged at the same time. The reality is I'm even stronger when I'm not enslaved.

reappearance

Sometimes you have to try other methods and other loves. Sometimes you have to think it's harder than it has to be; that the right way is made of the things we despise. Instead of the greatest Resource available now. It takes work to let that flower and grow into full-grown expression. Into an empire of humbleness and generosity. Where rhythm casts out darkness and opens the window to Freedom. Imagine the sound.

Imagine the emergence of an apartment now filled with drums. Breathtaking embodiment of Revelation, obedience and sacrifice.

enduring

In a world of the short-lived, in-one-season-and-out-the-next, my desire is to create that which endures. To support and nurture those things that have greater meaning and worth than temporal and transient things. This is what it means to store treasures in the Heavenly realm.

Imagine authoring, designing, building, embracing something that still catches the breath of onlookers thousands of years later. Imagine seeing something grand in the desolate, hear music in the silence, and experience peace in the turbulent. To have these things elevate the atmosphere into the sound of worship. What makes created work endure? The light of His face and the strength of His love.

4 years

Never has there been a companion like you. Never did I imagine someone so perfect for me; to dreams my dreams, and shape my world with wisdom, honesty and truth. Here's to the day we began. And all the days ahead.

cleansing

Ready for a cleansing. To be purified of my materialistic ways. In search of Light and Contentment and Generosity. Storing up Treasures in Heaven. Moving past and beyond and without earthly trinkets that mold and rot and have no meaning. So that His glory covers the earth.
