$3.99

If I've learned anything in the past week it has to be that God absolutely loves to give gifts. He's like my Grandma who frequently sends huge shoeboxes full of completely random gifts that I had never dreamed I needed. Although God has a effortless way of giving me exactly what I ask for in packages that I at first may not see as very spectacular. I could make a list, and it would be long. The gifts that have recenly blown me away have been my boyfriend, my apartment, my area rug, my cookie jar, my closet and my black crocodile patent handbag that I found at the Salvation Army for $3.99. Furla can't even top it. I'm consistently and endlessly amazed at how Christ, who keeps the universe in motion, loves me so much as to lavish on me the smallest desires of my heart. Confidence in His ability to provide for me is the motivation behind His eagerness to give me what I want. This has been a huge lesson for me lately.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to perservere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised...But my righteous one will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 10)
